Behind the Tapas - Meet Your Guide

I’m a Swedish girl with an endless love for good food, great company, and unforgettable moments. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved discovering new places, sharing stories, and making friends wherever I go. My journey with Tasty Tapas Tours started right at the beginning. I’ve been part of the family since the very first tours.

Before that, I’d often wander into bars and restaurants alone, just to soak up the atmosphere and see where the night would take me. I always found myself meeting wonderful people who wanted to know where to go next and I loved showing them my favorite spots around beautiful Barcelona. Those evenings would often turn into spontaneous tours full of laughter, delicious bites, and new friendships.



Working with Tasty Tapas Tours lets me keep living that passion every single day. For me, there’s nothing better than food I’m a true foodie at heart. But what makes it even better is sharing it with others. Meeting new people, hearing their stories, learning from them, and feeling inspired by their experiences is what makes this so special.

A few weeks ago, we enjoyed a wonderful evening with Ida in Barcelona. She led us on a brief tour of the Gothic Quarter before taking us to several excellent bodegas. We savored vermouth, fried sardines (which, surprisingly, my wife tried and loved), and other classic Spanish tapas. Though not a native, Ida knows the area like one. Her friendly interactions with locals in the bars and restaurants showed she’s well-known and respected there. For an authentic taste of Catalan cuisine, Ida is the perfect guide. This is a must do when in Barcelona!

¡Experiencia inmejorable! Ida es una guía excepcional: amable, profesional y con un conocimiento impresionante de la ciudad. Nos ayudó muchísimo tanto en la organización previa del tour como durante todo el recorrido, adaptándose siempre a nuestro grupo y haciendo que todo fuera fácil y divertido. My wife and I shared a wonderful evening of conversation, food and drink with Ida. Her knowledge of the history of Barcelona, and the best places to eat and drink off the usual tourist trail was excellent. She is a genuinely lovely person and a fantastic, engaging guide.The food was without exception delicious, and she even managed to get my wife to try octopus for the first time ever (which she enjoyed!). Would hugely recommend, and would consider this an essential to do for any first time visitor to the city. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ida is an amazing tour guide! She is very friendly and knows the area so well. She took us around the Gothic Quarter to local bars and restaurants where we tried all different tapas and drinks recommended by her! A great way to get an authentic taste of Barcelona and to do a lot in a short amount of time! We showed up hungry and left so full. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone, especially if it’s your first time in Barcelona!
